Because Newbridge physicians are board certified and practicing Anesthesiologists we are in a unique position to offer IV sedation to patients undergoing any pain management procedure.
Who benefits from sedation?
- Patients who feel anxious about injections or procedures
- Patients who have a fear of needles or operating rooms
- Patients who simply do not wish to be fully aware during their procedure
What is sedation?
We offer Monitored Anesthesia Care, to patients who wish to be sedated during any procedure. IV twilight sedation is used for short procedures such as the variety of non-surgical procedures performed by Newbridge Spine & Pain Center. It is a combination of medicines to help you relax (sedative) and to block pain (an anesthetic). Following the procedure you will recover quickly in one of our comfortable recovery rooms under the care and supervision of our experienced clinical team.
Monitored anesthesia care (MAC) is performed in our procedure room by one of our board-certified anesthesiologists. For every procedure with anesthesia we have an exclusive anesthesia provider in the procedure room who is dedicated to your sedation.
This physician is in addition to your pain management physician who performs your procedure.
If you have any questions about this or any of our procedures please contact us at your nearest location.
